Titanic

Today is the 100th Anniversary of the RMS Titanic sinking. It seemed only logical that I would watch for the first time the Titanic movie. It was a pretty good movie. I kept referring to Jake as Demetri though, I'm not sure why. It's probably just something to do with the actor. For some reason Leonardo DiCarprio just seems like a Demetri to me....So now I have the Titanic theme song stuck in my head. Did you ever realize that there is only one song throughout the entire movie? It works for the movie too. I don't know a lot of movies that could get away with doing that.

Random Facts about the Titanic! though they aren't actually that random because this whole post is about the Titanic....we will just have to pretend it is random...

1. 1,514 people died upon the sinking out of 2,435 plus the crew of 892
2. lifeboats could only hold 1,178 people
3. 2:20 am Titanic broke up and sank bow-first with over a thousand people still on board
4. Hypothermia killed the people that were in the water within minutes
5. A Canadian Mint produced $10 silver commemorative coin for the 100th anniversary
6. There are a lot of museums for the Titanic. There's one in Pigeon Forge Tennessee (been there) that has an iceberg and you can feel the coldness the water would've been
7. The Movie Titanic was the first movie to hit the billion dollar mark
8. The Titanic wasn't found over 12,000 feet below the surface until September 1st, 1985
9.  Out of the 1,514 people that died only 333 bodies were ever found.
