Nevada, Utah, Nebraska, HOME

So at this point we were mostly just in a rush to get home. So we didn't do much of anything in these states.

Nevada: We stopped in Virginia City, a ghost town. It wasn't much of a ghost town. More like one of those towns that everyone dresses up like they are from that time period. We went to the school house and I got to ring the bell. In the school house we learned about how dangerous mining was from this little ghost child that told us all about it. There was also a street race in that town.

Utah: That night we stayed in a gross awful hotel (days inn if your wondering) in Salt Lake City. I ate at Denny's the first time there and then we got our butts out of that state because we were disgusted by it!

Nebraska: So Utah's hotel pooped us out for hotels so we decided we were driving all the way through to Iowa. We made little stops along the way so we didn't fall asleep. We stopped at a Little America (the billboards really wanted us to go there). I don't know what their obsession with penguins was about though. Then we stopped at a Prison and at Lincoln's head. The Prison was awesome :) I got to go into the gas chamber and we just had a huge tour of the place.
The Lincoln head was just his head. I don't know what it was made out of...wood or stone or something. It was really big though. I couldn't have reached his head if I wanted to and I could barely get in a good picture since his head was so big.

So that was our last attraction really. We drove the rest of the way. We did end up stopping twice at rest stops because I really didn't want to drive and my aunt took some naps. I was a really worthless person to go on a road trip with I guess. I had fun though. I hope my aunt did.

Oregon, California

Well I must say my drawings of what I did each day on my trip are rather helpful.

Oregon: We stayed there for 2 days sorta, which caused us to get home a day late. My mum wasn't the happiest about that, but it was a great idea. First of all, we stayed because we had cousins there. Well...my 2nd cousin my aunts first. Anyways, his name is Garth and he showed us around on the first day we were there. We went to the Butte of Eugene. I call it the Butt :) That day was the day we just toured Eugene.I don't think I have told you what we named the gps yet so I must spill that....we named her GRETTA.
Anyways on the 2nd day...we had a 13 hour car ride just to end up back where we came. I got quite car sick from it I must say. We visited the Diamond Falls and Crater Lake. At some point during that we hit a squirrel. I slept most of the car ride because of my car sickness and left Tami *aunt* to listen to Garth talk. Then after Crater Lake we went to the beach. Garth told us that the ocean is always less than 55 degrees. It was a sunset beach picture time and I was FREEZING. We didn't stay there very long and went back to the really nice sleep inn. It had a walk in shower with no curtains :) It was nice.
Did I mention that Self pump gas is illegal in Oregon? Good for Oregon making jobs for people :)

California: We went to a restaurant in California near Sacramento that had tablecloths that you could color on! I was thrilled and drew a whole picture with trees and unicorns and a head of yogi da bear. The next day (since we arrived in CA at night) we went to the Jelly Belly factory for a tour. It was AWESOME. We also went to San Fran's beach and saw the golden gate bridge from a far. San Fran had 5mph traffic or slower during the rush hour we got stuck in. Then on the way to Nevada we stopped at Sweet Tomatoes for lunch. It was a yummy place. :)

Idaho, Washington

Yet again :) No offense if you feel offended!!!!!!! I don't mean to offend ya.

Idaho: So I'm not even going to say anything about Idaho... My aunt had to clarify that one also so I will just use her words :P

In the 60 miles that we were in Idaho, there were not many choices.  We were looking for ghost towns as they have been fun to explore or potatoes.  These were the two choices (of ANYTHING to do in the area!!!) on the websites that we have been consulting.  We went with Enaville as we could grab some lunch.  We were disappointed as it was just a restaurant with history and not a ghost town area, but it was still a fun stop to say that we ate in an old brothel and had potatoes (nacho potatoes were the first item on the menu) in Idaho.  It was nothing more than a food stop and looking for something to do.  I'm not a bad influence or person!

So as you can read...I went to a brothel >:P lol we got in trouble for that one because we didn't explain it...and then in Nevada we found a brothel inspector badge!!!!! But yeah it was rather disappointing.

Washington: Well first of all...there was this weird ball plant that we wanted to know what was so we were asking my friends/siblings to look up what crops Washington grows. Shortly after seeing these ball plants there were signs put up on the fences to tell us what the plants were. We didn't always agree with the signs though because we know what corn looks like and it doesn't look like hay! but we never found out what the ball plants were.....it was a secret they didn't want revealed I guess. Also...Washington harvests wind :)
Second point....Washington was the food state for us. We went to Pike's Market in Seattle and witnessed fish throwing and bought some food. There was also a huge gum wall there. People can just stick their gum on the wall once they are done chewing it. Kinda gross but it was still pretty kool. Then after that we went to Trader Joe's (my aunt loves that place) and some Bread place that had some really good cheese bread. So Washington was the food state....

Montana, Wyoming

Again...Please don't take offense if you are from these places. Though I don't think I am saying anything super bad? 'o.O I don't know though

Wyoming: I was only in Wyoming for Yellowstone really. We went and saw Old Faithful. We were mostly looking for bears though because on the Montana license plate there was a bear so we figured we had a better chance of finding one in Yellowstone (we never did.) We saw an Elk and a sick Buffalo though. And then a whole herd of Buffalo were crossing the road so I got to stick my head out the sunroof to take pictures of them :) They have a sign that says no molesting the animals....I must say I had a great time in Yellowstone. Though I did start to get car sick with all the twisting and turning and up and downs of the road!

Montana: Well after Yellowstone we went to ghost towns. I personally am a huge fan of ghost towns so I was thrilled :). At said ghost towns (Virginia City and Nevada City) they were CLOSED because they were like museums or something and you could tell that they were fixed up so they weren't the greatest of all ghost towns. Oh well though...it was still perty darn awesome :) I don't remember what else we did in Montana...That is all I can think of right now...guess I should have updated right when I got back or while I was gone...I did take a lot of pictures of the most beautiful place ever though! It was gorgeousssssssssssssssssssssssssssss I loved the hills and mountains and then I got sunset pictures. I must say I completely love Montana. Oh and they had ranches and such :) There was also an old guy that offered us a home...this is what my aunt had to say about that after getting in trouble with her mum for not being a good influence on me :) She had to clarify the story....

When we left Yellowstone, we drove out to some desolate parts of Montana exploring ghost towns.  We stopped to get gas in one of the small towns before heading to find a hotel for the night.  As I got out of the car, the older man at the next pump asked where we were from.  Told him Illinois, which he knew from our license plate.  He and his wife were from Illinois originally too, so he wanted to know what part.  Then, we had a conversation about what we saw in Yellowstone.  He commented that it was late and we had better find a place to stay for the night (it was about 7:00).  Our plan had been to camp in Yellowstone, but it was hailing so we opted for a hotel down the road.  He thought we were crazy for considering camping ("Bear live there, ya know") and offered us a room in his house so that we wouldn't be driving that late.  It was sweet and innocent, but kind of creepy that some stranger (and his wife) would offer us a place to stay.  Nonetheless, we thanked him, had a nice laugh, and drove to our hotel in Helena.

*Side note* I forgot to say in my ND post that we went to the Cowboy Cafe and I had Buffalo steak...it tastes like hamburger...just saying....

Minnesota, North Dakota

If you are from these places don't take offense :)

Minnesota: First off I have no clue if I spelled it right yet :P Secondly................................................... There is only 98 lakes not 10,000! and I gave them the benefit of doubt and counted some of the ponds and puddles....We didn't even get to 100 during that! Its in the state conspiracy you know...

North Dakota: Well there wasn't really anything in North Dakota. We made up stories on the drive though. There was a town of Gackle, but when you try to go to it you end up in water (flooding), so that became the town of geese. Then there was the town of Duckle (town of ducks) and there was a lot more...The animals just couldn't get along so they all had to have their own separate places in that state.
Also while I was in ND I went to the Enchanted Highway...That place was perty darn kool :) Bunch of metal sculptures to bring more people to a town that was dying. It was really kool.

I really want to see this movie now lolz :) I mean it is PUSS 'N BOOTS!!!!!!!!!!! :D lol and I can't find my camera right now so pictures will have to wait to be put up I guess.
