I came across the maps again today. I haven't written about them I'm pretty sure, so I will now because it's a great memory.
In 8th grade, we started this thing, I'm not really sure how it started, but people started to claim countries and one of my best friends became the queen of the world. Well it went on from there, I printed out a map and people would sign their name on their countries so that no one would get mixed up on who had what country. I was like the guardian of the maps or something. It went so far that we were making up stories and such. Like, the whole world was at war with Russia because they wouldn't bow to the queen of the world. It was a great time. On the back of the map of Europe, there is even an agenda written down from the first day of December. This is what it says....
Mon- New Zealand- Queen biz
Tues- North Pole- Skiing and Snowboarding
Wed- South Pole- Ice Skating and Sledding
Thurs- South Georgia Island- Hang out with dlkjfadlskf (ex-best friend)
Fri- Madagascar and Ethiopia- Jungle hiking/ climbing
Sat- Hawaii- Volcano Swimming- get volcano proof clothes and googles..don't invite kfljal (my "twin" brother)
Sun- Pacific Ocean -Swimming with Dolphins and other stuff
We would have a great live as the leaders of the world. So anyway, that summer I promised a few of them that I would write a story to go along with the maps and I started it but never finished it. I'm going to post it in the next post depending on how long it is, I know its pretty long though because I'm not one to write short stories. I'm not even going to read what I wrote way back then, I'm just posting it...so go onto the post called "The Book of the World"
