The Book of the World

As I said in the last post...I didn't read this before posting it because I don't feel like going thattttt far down memory lane...but here is the story I wrote to go along with that post all those years ago (which was 2008 just saying)

“Everyone is waging war with each other your highness. What ever are we going to do?” Cenedra, one of the many queens of the world asked.
“We will have to call court. I want all of my loyal subjects to come to the Ruby Palace in the United States. It has always been my favorite place around this place. Tell them that they are going to be required to submit all the countries that they own and that I am making some new laws. These wars are getting way out of hand,” Mab announced. Mab was the High Queen of the world.
So just to get you up to date on some stuff here is a lot of information you might like. She had control over all the other queens and kings, but sometimes they got a little out of control. That was the time that she would call a court, to settle all their disputes. So now all the country leaders were coming together. Actually, due to some weather conditions and such, only a few of the queens and kings made it to court when Mab called upon them. They were Cenedra, Kaida, Eadoin, Jaser, Ece, Taiomah, Makani, Edan, Caleb, Calandra, Jokull, Sabra, Rafiya, Bella, Qamra, Maeko, Pouria, and Kylie. There might have been a few others, but no one can remember everyone.
These people owned a lot of countries, and were waging war on each other all the time. It was mostly over land disputes, but every once in awhile they would have a fight for just the heck of it. These wars, well, they aren’t really wars, they just weren’t allowed to have any physical wars. Mab strongly disbelieves in bloody violence and what was the point when they all lived under the same ruler. She did believe in letting them solve their own problems though, that was why there was so many wars. When there became to many the court was called and peace was made, and that brings us back to this court Mab is calling.
Everyone came within a month of getting the message. It was hard to get messages to people, because birds are the fastest way to communicate with them, but eventually everyone showed up. I don’t know how they lived though, no electricity must have been really though. They couldn’t stay up reading very late, though a lot of them came up with devises to make it possible to stay up late. I am pretty sure that it wasn’t for reading though. Mab entertained them and they all had to learn about the history of the United States, since that is where court was being held this time. Oh yeah, by the way, court is held on a different country each time and everyone is required to learn about that country.
Edan was the last one the show up, he brought the bad news of the death of King Henry, which is how he became the king of England. Apparently, Henry died of old age, but I think Edan just got bored of waiting for him to die and instead of waging war, he just killed Henry for the throne.
Did I tell you who I was? Oh, no I didn’t. I am the daughter of a great king and queen. Um, I don’t think you actually need to know who I am. Do you? No, I suppose not. This is a story of my sister though. Yeah, that is all you need to know.
Right back to the story, everyone was devastated to hear the Henry had died, well some of them anyways. Mab was, but some really hated him, he was really mean to some people. He had bloody wars and it was horrible. I am glad Edan killed him if he did, because he was going to kill my best friend Makani. Makani really isn’t that important. He is Edan younger brother and not a lot of people like him.
Anyways, as I was saying everyone was devastated blah, blah, blah. This is so boring, maybe we should just write this story in 3rd person, then there wouldn’t be so many thoughts about what I think. Yeah, that is what I’ll do. Oh, by the way. In this story, Mab made up some laws before the story. It was really interesting. Some of the laws were that you can only own 5 countries and then the countries you won from a war didn’t count as your 5 countries. You can have assistances or anything else from any gender for your country, but any other rulers are not allowed to be the same gender. The rule I think is the best is that you can’t have a Prince or Princess until you are 14. That way not many people are allowed to have them. I think it is really silly that you have to own a legal document to own a fly, but that is the way Mab wants it. Okay back to the story.
So here is the story of the world after the Golden Age. That was when Mab ruled the whole world and didn’t let others take command of parts of it easily, though I do believe that Kaida and Cenedra got to rule the Philippines and Japan during this age. Oh yeah, I forgot, 3rd person. It won’t happen again. So I’ll start all over now.

The Book of the World (3rd Person)

“Everyone is waging war with each other your highness. What ever are we going to do?” Cenedra asked, one of the many queens of the world.
“We will have to call court. I want all of my loyal subjects to come to the Ruby Palace in the United States. It has always been my favorite place around this place. Tell them that they are going to be required to submit all the countries that they own and that I am making some new laws. These wars are getting way out of hand,” Mab announced.
“Okay I will send the birds out right away,” Cenedra agreed. “Oh, by the way, did I tell you that Queen Bridgette was eaten by a whale? Calandra has taken her command of the Atlantic Ocean.”
“Really? I thought that Bridgette had control of the Indian Ocean.”
“Well, she had, but before she died, Makani won that from her. He outwitted her.” Cenedra informed.
“Well, that is really intreasting, I am surprised that I wasn’t told before you. Speaking of which why wasn’t I told?”
“Message just came in today. Calandra sent it, but she is on the other side of the world and the Russians intercepted her first message. She wouldn’t even had know that, had the bird not returned to her with no message and a brand of the Russians on it. Well, I really should send these letters.” Cenedra said getting up from the table. Mab got up to and went over to her book shelf and grabbed a book as they left the room.
“Tell them that I want them to be here within the next two months. If they can’t come, then I want to know that.” Mab decided and nodded to Cenedra as she entered her quarters to read the book she had grabbed.
Cenedra sighed and continued on to the bird place. All the homing pigeons were waiting t be let out and finally, all the letters were sent out to the correct person. “It is so stupid, letting birds deliver messages. They are like our own personal slaves now.” Cenedra muttered to herself.
Months later all of the great rulers were at the Ruby Palace in the United States. They were all sitting in the sea room, and it looked like they were under water. They sat at the octagon table of the knightessess, though not all of them were knightessess.
“So, I have called you here today, because you have all disappointed me. The last court I called, only 3 of you showed up at the meeting. Edan, Kaida, and Taiomah, thank you for coming by the way. Anyways, you disappoint me, because you are being so mean to each other again. I was just informed by Cenedra about the death of Bridgette, but I didn’t know that you, Makani, had already won the Indian Ocean for her. You are all going through kingdoms way to fast. The people that you rule over aren’t sure who is ruling them anymore. It has to stop. So now, here we will have some, for lack of better word, debate, and decide who gets what country, but first what news do you have. Does anyone know why Henry isn’t here? Edan weren’t you at England before you came here?” asked Mab.
“Yes, I was, and I am sorry to bring you such distressing news, but since the news hasn’t reached you, I guess I have to tell you. King Henry has died. I have taken over the throne.” Edan mournfully announced.
“That is terrible news, what happened?” asked Ece.
“He died in his sleep. I don’t know if he was poisoned though. It just happened a couple of weeks before I left for here. I didn’t get to hear the results of their tests on the body, before I left. I will let you know if someone poisoned him though.”
“Funny, how he died when you were there. Don’t you think?” Jokull asked.
“Jokull, don’t even try to figure this out. I have my best people on it. Though even if you did try, I doubt you’ll find anything. You are so stupid,” Edan muttered.
“Hey!” Jokull cried. “ We are supposed to be nice.”
“That is right Edan, you really should pick on someone with the same level of smartness as you.” Cenedra joked.
“Cenedra, Edan, and Jokull, would you please be quiet. We are trying to have a meeting. Did you say that Bridgette died?” asked Kaida.
“Yes, she was eaten by a whale, Another odd consentience. That probably happened at the same time that Henry was killed. Does any one have any news on the Russians?” Mab asked.
“I think that they are getting tired of this war. They might be willing to make peace with us soon,” informed Eadoin.
“I wouldn’t count on that. My latest information says that they are trying to get some of the countries that we are leaving alone to join their side. Mab you might want to get back in the grove of traveling around your kingdom. I mean, I know that the world is really huge, but we can’t have them switching to supporting the Russians. I want this war to end; there is way to much blood being shed in this war for my liking.” Cenedra announced.
“Okay, I will remember that” Mab agreed. “We need to have some more troops go up there, I thin that the Russians are getting out of their ports and we can’t have that. I think that they are trying to convince us that they aren’t doing anything, and then killing everyone that they see as a threat,”
“So why haven’t they tried to kill you?” asked Jokull. Cenedra snorted and there was a burst of laughter around the table. “What did I say?”
“No one is stupid enough to try and kill Mab. They know if she is killed there will be a huge rebellion and they also know that they would be caught before she even died.” Bella informed.
“Shouldn’t we get back to the recording of who has what countries?” asked Ece.
“Yeah, we should, okay everyone put your counries down on the piece of paper that you have. While you do that, I want to know your opinon on these new rules that I have made up for all of you. I figure it will keep you guys peaceful for longer. Pretty soon I might as well, just keep court going all year and never let you leave.” Mab joked.
“So what are these new rules? I bet they are all really good,” Maeko betted. “You always have others best interests in mind when you make these laws.”
“That is very kind of you.” Mab replied. “Now one of the rules is wars are only verbal, as you already know, but you can be threatened. You can’t however, threaten a princess or prince. You also must have a legal document to own a elephant, whale, or fly. You can’t own a country if you are an alcoholic or drug addict and there is no whaling.”
“Wait, you have to have a legal document to own a elephant?” asked Taiomah.
“Yes, you only need one. The number of elephants and whales you own will need to be verified though.”
“What if there are to many whales to count?” Makani asked. “I mean, my ‘country’ is an ocean. There are millions of whales in there.”
“You just need one certificate if you have an ocean, but the rest of you need to verify how many you have. Now can we talk about our next line of business?”
“Wait! Did you say that we have to have a legal document to own a fly?” asked Cenedra. “If you did, I totally want one. I could call my fly Jimmy-bob, or Bob-jimmy!”
“Right, we will get you one right away. Now that was a little of track, so does anyone have anything none related to this meeting to say?” MAb inquired.
“Um, when is lunch?” Jokull questioned.
“Ugg, we aren’t ever going to get anything done, are we?” Kaida moaned. “We are going to be here forever.”
“ Oh, be quiet. We can eventually leave. Just not very soon with how everything is going. I vote that we have a break. That way Jokull can have some lunch.” Edan suggested.
“I seconded that vote. Anyone else want some food? I am staving.” Cenedra called. Everyone looked really upset about not getting anything done, but what could they do? They were rather hungry and weren’t getting anywhere. Mab sighed and handed out the rule list for everyone.
“Read all the rules during your lunch and when we get back in session tell me what you think.”
“How long is this break going to be?” Cenedra asked.
“How about,” Mab looked at her sun dial watch, “In 30 minutes.” So everyone left, except Mab, Kaida, and Cenedra, to eat lunch. Mab, Kaida, and Cenedra had food brought to them and they started to talk.
“You know, you could make this meeting easier by not interrupting Cenedra,” Kaida remarked.
“Yeah, well I really would like to own a fly. Though maybe I wouldn’t since they don’t live very long and no one should own free animals. It would be like a slave then.”
“Wow, you have decided that flies can be slaves now did you?” Kaida sarcastically stated. “What would they do for you?”
“Well, they could poison someone for me if I got really mad at someone,” Cenedra replied. :Though I wouldn’t want to do that, because then they might die and then I would have to find someone else to poison. You know what I mean right?”
“No idea, you lost me when you stated to babble.” Kaida said.
“I mean, that I can’t poison someone, because then I would have to find someone else to poison, because that person died cause I poisoned them. It really makes sense when you think about it.” Kaida nodded, trying not to laugh and Mab just kind of started to laugh.
“What? It’s not that funny,” Cenedra stated looking very confused.
“Yes it is,” Kaida laughed.
“You know this is an obweas court, you shouldn’t make fun of people,” Cenedra scowled and then started to laugh. “Though I don’t think you could survive without making fun of people.”
“Now you’re the one bullying. Mab are you really going to put up with this?” Mab sighed and looked at Kaida and Cenedra.
“Can’t you ever have a civilized conversation without bullying?” Mab inquired. Cenedra shook her head laughing and Kaida just shrugged. “Well, I do believe that the half hour is up. Let’s get back to business shall we?” Everyone was coming back into the room now, Everyone except Edan that is. I think Edan was off doing something stupid, because when he did show up he was really dirty and covered in mud and very battered looking. Whoops I did it again, sorry people. Anyways…Edan didn’t come back until later that night. Everyone was still in the meeting arguing as always. Cenedra was in the middle of all the fighting. She loved to yell at people, though she doesn’t much any more. Something made her stop. Cenedra wasn’t really yelling to make a point. She was just talking because she could.
“Well, I think that we should give out the documents we need now. I do believe that we need to get all the land in order. Everyone needs to fill out a  document and then we will know who all has a country and what the country is. I also think that Edan shouldn’t be allowed to get anymore countries. He is taking over the world,” Cenedra was saying when Edan walked in. Okay so maybe she did have something good to say, but notice how she yelled nonsense at the same time.
“Um, why are we talking about me?” Edan inquired as he took his seat.
“Wow what happened to you?” Cenedra asked, she was trying not to laugh and wasn’t succeeding. Edan looked like he had been thrown in a pig pen and had been beaten to death. “Did your piggy friends not like you? I do believe that they did a fine job at trying to kill you. Maybe I’ll help them next time they want to try.” Cenedra sneered at Edan. Edan didn’t respond and looked around the room.
“So do I get to know what we are talking about yet?”
“We were talking about filling out documents and stopping you from gaining anymore countries,” Makani stated quietly to his brother as everyone starred at Edan. “What happened to you anyways? You were right behind me on our way here and then you just vanished.”
“I met some old friends of ours and went and talked to them,” Edan whispered quietly. “Now be quiet, I seem to actually have to defend myself against that stupid girl.” Cenedra heard all of this but didn’t say anything. She just simmered quietly waiting for another time to get back at him.
“Edan, you will have to tell me what happened later. From now until the sun goes down everyone will be filling out documents that say who owns what country. Get to work,” Mab ordered. Cenedra got up and left the room. Everyone glanced around wondering what they should do since there wasn’t any documents. When Cenedra came back though, her arms were filled with paper. She was also singing a song quietly to herself, which just happened to be when the sun goes down. Oh I should probably explain that now. You see for some reason Cenedra knew how to listen to music on radios and stuff. Which if you think about it is really weird since there wasn’t electricity. Though I guess it isn’t that weird since I’m listening to that same song too and I don’t have any electricity. Crap I forgot third person, my bad yet again. Back to the story, yet again.
Everyone filled out the forms and when the sun went down piled out of the room to go to sleep. They all had a very long day ahead of them tomorrow.
Edan, Cenedra, Kaida, and Mab stayed behind. One the big long octagon table of the knightessess, Edan was on the opposite side of the room. Cenedra, Kaida, and Mab sat right next to each other with Mab in the middle. Mab motioned for Edan to come sit closer, and he moved three seats down. Kaida and Cenedra glared at him and he moved down so he was sitting one seat away from Kaida.
“We don’t bite you know,” Cenedra sneered. Edan didn’t even look at her and just ignored her.
Mab sighed, “Can’t you ever get along with each other?” Cenedra shrugged and sat back, shutting her big fat mouth up for the rest of the night, or at least until the meeting was over. “So what happened?”
“Well, it’s a long story,” Mab and Kaida made themselves more comfortable. “Okay, so I went out to get some food. I thought I might buy some from that cook Solemn. He always is at this palace.”
“How do you know that?” Kaida interrupted.
“Because I’ve been here before and I always buy food from him. Anyways, I found him and ordered some food. As they were making it some strange men came up and ordered the same thing as me. Solemn took one look at the man and quickly gave the food that had just finished cooking to me. I didn’t really care and just waited for him to make another one for me. Solemn didn’t though. He just ran out of the shop. The man then looked at me. No he glared at me. He had these bright eyes that kept changing colors. At first they were hazel, but then he got angry and they turned orange.”
“Orange eyes? That not strange at all,” Cenedra muttered to herself. No one heard though, so I guess you could say that she didn’t really talk. Ugg, why do I keep doing that?
“He told me to leave the store and I didn’t. I figured I should watch the shop until Solemn got back. Well I learned my lesson. If a Russian soldier tells you to leave, you should listen to what he says,” Edan laughed.
“Russian soldier?” Mab sharply repeated. Edan nodded and Kaida shuddered.
“They must have intercepted one of the messages and know that we would be here. They probably sent him to get the layout of the place. I bet the Russians are going to try and kill us, not Mab, but everyone else,” Kaida shuddered again. Cenedra smiled gleefully at the thought of a fight for death. No one saw though because for some reason she was being ignored by everyone.
“That’s nonsense. No one in their right mind would attack us here. They also wouldn’t try and kill everyone. That just isn’t right.” Mab insisted.
“They ain’t in their right mind,” Cenedra stated quietly to herself, why on earth does she keep saying things? She isn’t heard yet again by the way. I have no clue why she would want to keep talking if everyone keeps ignoring her.
