July 4th

I want to edit a picture...just one picture...but I don't have Picasa on this computer :c and I don't have downloading privileges...so instead I'm stuck with using Paint, because I'm too lazy to use Google+'s Creative Kit (which I love just so you know). This is a great picture <.< I spent SOOOO much time editing it and everything....so here it is! Oh and it's just a picture off of google as always :P I don't know who took the darn thing as I'm too lazy to find that out...but because it was such a beautiful picture before I destoryed it...I will give you the link to the website. The website being national geographic....

So as you might be able to tell from this picture, I just wanted to wish you a happy 4th of July! Because it's the 4th of July, and well it's independence day, of course I'm going to give you a song for it and then some random facts! Let's get this show on the road!

  • taxation without representation....us americans didn't have no say in that government dealio. (and yes I love my grammar skills)
  • Independence Day was first celebrated in Philadelphia on July 8, 1776.
  • The word ‘patriotism’ comes from the Latin patria, which means ‘homeland’ or ‘fatherland.’
  • Thirty places nationwide with “liberty” in their name. Iowa has four of these places (the most out of all states)
  • There is one place named “patriot” — Patriot, Indiana, with a population of 202.
  • The Fourth of July was not declared a national holiday until 1941.
  • More than 74 million Americans will BBQ tomorrow. (not I)
  • Presidents John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe all died on the Fourth. Adams and Jefferson died on the same day within hours of each other in 1826.
  • The amount of chicken purchased the week before the holiday is 700 million pounds.
  • The percentage of American homes with an outdoor grill is 87 percent. (my grill is broken :c)
  • The words Under God were not added to the Pledge of Allegiance until the year 1954.

Okay I'm bored of random facts! Have another video though...
